Philippians 4:13

(Amplified Bible) Philippians 4:13 13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [a]infuses inner strength into me; I am [b]self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

I was sent this today in email and the focus was the above scripture

This will give you chills....
No matter how religious you may or may not be, this can give you chills.
Phil. 4:13 states: "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.

Here's the story: A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from hisoutspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much attention to his friend's sermons, but he heard them often. One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he turned his back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his armsout, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body, was in the shape of a cross. The man felt a strange feeling, like someone was speaking to him. Instead of diving, he knelt down and finally asked God to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on. The pool had been drained ! for repairs. Remember this story and send it to afriend. Yes, I do Love Jesus. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. "Without Him, I will be nothing. Without him, I am nothing but with Him I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Phil 4:13. This is the simplest test. If you Love Jesus, and are not ashamed of all the marvelous things he has done for you. Pass this to ten people and the person who sent it to you!!!!!!!!!!!
Live as though Christ died yesterday, rose from the grave today, and is> coming back
tomorrow!

its quite a nice email to recieve. The only thing that spoils it for me is the end where the originator states that you must forward to prove your not ashamed of Jesus. Some people.

The way I see it I am not ashamed of Him. Have no reason to be. I wear earrings to work that have Jesus writen cross the middle. I am looking for bigger ones. Indeed its more than that. I must make a note to explore this theme in more detail. Maybe i need to meet with Pastor P or Pastor S. I feel its time i started getting a different kind of leadership

Last night i had an interesting sleep. I was thinking about my friends Baptism. Her story was so amazing. She went through a lot from homelessness to illness etc. All the while she kept Him near in her thoughts and she kept coming to church. Now she is Born Again. That where i want to be Born Again saved etc. But I am stuck.

I dont know if anyone knows what it is like to be stuck. I'm making more of an effort to pray and just simply say hello my Lord. I can talk about God for ages to where my excitement is spilling over and feel like the kid that just wants to speak but...there is something missing. A void that needs filling.

One of my challenges is being completely focused especially when i am in church but its hard. The best part of church for me is the singing. I dont have to worry about does that person like my voice because we are all singing at the top of our lungs. Pastor did mention in service that singing, music aka praise and worship is a key part of church. So that bits easy right. My focus is to get wrapped up in it when i sing at church. I sing at home, past week i have listened to only Gospel music. Only because I'm reaching for something.

Oh yeah there was a young boy that was Baptised sunday gone. He was choked up in tears. So you know i am sitting in church thinking he gets it, what about me

But then i think thats just it or is it! I need to focus on my relationship with Him on one2one basis. I am trying, am PUSHing. I just have to reach there well rather get there.

Im listening

Hey Sofro!
Yeah the baptisms were moving for me too! And I like the story of the diver who came to christ before diving and dying! That hit me hard!
As for yourself, jus keep reaching for that relationship. And most importantly, dont force yourself to do things you find difficult in doing. Take each day at a time! sometimes wen i find it difficult to pray to God, I just think of how i would talk to my friend (well he is a friend anyway).
In terms of music, at first wen i threw away my collection of secular music only listening to gospel, i found myself drawing bak to my old music, cuz i forced myself to do somet i werent ready for. As for now, i can listen to gospel music comfortably without force. dont get me wrong, i dont condenm secular music, but i kno where i stand without feeling pressurized.
If you got any questions to ask, then dont hesitate to ask me! And vice-versa! As we're both learning and growing and there's things i dont fully understand, like for eg.speaking in tongues!
Peace!x ogz
