Kim Is Standing For The King!

This is not a topic that I cover on this blog for several reasons. Mainly because it can become a distraction from many things. If ever someone wishes to delve deeper I may let them do so on this blog.

So as you will know by now the Pastor and legendary gospel great singer Kim Burrell made the headlines like never before in the secular world. Whilst pastoring at her church a pew sitter decided to live stream a few minutes of the sermon where she discusses sexual sin and spirits of deception operating in the church. She does give very descriptive details of what she means. Kim has since posted two videos of her own where she clarifies that she does not hate nor condemn anyone to hell as she knows she cannot do so. She is not God. 

Below, here is a video of Quannel X a Muslim and Matt Patrick a Christian discussing Kim Burrell. Quannell is basically saying Christians have allowed the world to get too comfortable attacking them for their beliefs yet Muslims stand at the ready to defend their faith and the world knows this. 

There is clearly more going on than the headlines. It's spiritual and requires prayer and strong leadership.

If you were Kim how would you have presented the message at hand?

Should the person who filmed the sermon snippet be required to answer to the church? Was their intention good or bad and are they happy with the end result?

The UN Thinks School Church Assemblies Are Bad

The UN feels that British law that says Children should attend Christian assemblies is wrong. They feel it interferes with a chid's freedom of thought consciousness and religion and thus undermines their human rights. They want Britain to repeal the law.

Well I do not believe it is the UN's place to dictate to people how their children are raised. The only time I wish to hear about it is if there is a true cause for concern. You would think an organisation built around uniting the nations would be ok with Children being taught "Love thy neighbour" etc etc.

There are many countries where religion and culture and life seamlessly blend together with no issues. Britain is a very inclusive country at times to the detriment of the Christian faith it was built on according to some. It does not discriminate and many parents choose to send their kids to a Christian school who belong to a different faith or have no faith and have no issues.

No Bibles in Travelodge Rooms

Travelodge which has a portfolio of 500 hotels has decided to remove all Bibles from every single room. They say that Bibles will be available at reception for those who request it. This move has been noted as a measure to ensure non-Christians are not discriminated against. Other national hotel chains still keep Bibles in rooms. Many of which are provided to them for free by the The Gideon Society. 

I still have my Gideons Bible I got from school many years ago. I think travelodge has a right to keep whatever they choose in their hotel rooms, however their reasoning is flawed. They should just simply say they do not wish to stock Bibles anymore. All this stuff about discriminating against non-Christians is why in the UK today a tradition such as Christmas lights and the Nativity is being axed under the guise of diversity and multicultural inclusivity by councils and schools. Yet these same people welcome celebrations of other faiths by non-Christians by the same breathe.

Be Who God Wants You To Be

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.

Psalm 139:14 I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Who are you? Have you developed an image that is pleasing to others? Do friends try to dictate your very being so that you conform to their will. They too may be followers of Christ, but you must be able to discern the will of God in your life. Yes you can serve other people, but you must be yourself. Your God given self. Pray that God will reveal to you who He wants you to be and for the help to get there. Pray that you will be surrounded by the right people who will help and not tear you down. Most importantly stop conforming to what man wants to see. There is only so much of your life you can airbrush before your spirit starts crying out release, release. release. 

Christian Preacher Awarded £13k in Damages

Christian Preacher John Craven has been awarded £13,000 in compensation for injustices against him. He was effectively arrested for answering a question posed to him by two gay teens with a faith based answer. The police failed to see he did not condemn the teens as he advised God hates sin but loves the sinner. During his 19hours stay in prison he was not given any food or medication despite Mr Craven's current medical condition.

Mr Craven won his damages under the Human Rights Act quoting his entitlement to enjoy the freedom to manifest his religion (Article 9) and freedom of expression, including the freedom to impart information and ideas without interference by a public authority (Article 10). (source)
