He has given you the ability

Here is another email from my good friend.

'God...gives you the ability to produce wealth...' Deuteronomy 8:18

Without struggle, you'll never develop your potential! Have you ever watched an ant carrying home a piece of bread that's bigger than him? Success belongs to those too small to carry what they believe in but too stubborn to leave it behind! If God the Creator lives within you, then you are 'creative'. That means when you can't find a job, you can go out and create one. If success doesn't come after you, get up and go after it. There are no risk-free plans. A young man once asked an old man, 'What's the secret of your success?' 'Good decisions,' he replied. 'How did you learn to make good decisions?' the young man asked. 'By making bad ones,' the old man replied. Once you discover your gift and identify your dream, get on your mark, get set and go! Stop waiting for opportunity. Opportunity is the breath in your body and the strength of your mind. If you use your God-given gifts wisely, there's no telling what you can do. But you must be a 'doer'! God does not give us wealth; He gives us the power to get wealth. There's a big difference. Too many of us sit down and wait for Him to drop everything into our lap. A dream without corresponding action only aggravates the soul and amounts to nothing. God will give you the power to succeed but you have to take it, develop a plan and work at it. Okay?

It Is Well

15 July 2008
Here is another email...This one I quite enjoyed reading
It Is Well! This week, God is encouraging you, His son and you His daughter with these simple words - IT IS WELL!!!
God is pleased with your offering,
Pleased with what you have done in and for His name,
For the support, the encouragement, the sacrifice of time and energy that you've poured into so many even when you thought it had gone unnoticed,
Heaven heard your heart,
Though the journey has not always been easy,
We can still give thanks to the Father for never leaving us, nor forsaking us, for IT IS WELL!!!
Well means: Pleasing, healthy, in a good way, favourable
So, today let's take a moment to thank God for being well, in health, in strength, for families, friends and neighbours.
Amidst the busyness of our lives
Amongst the pressures of our projects, mandates and assignments
In spite of our downfalls, successes or our failures
Despite the fact that we have much left to achieve in anticipation of His coming
On this day, at this time
God has assigned it for praise, a time to give thanks,
You see, some of us may not be where we want to be
Doing what we know we've been called to do
But right where you are
I believe the Father is saying
Thus far, sons, daughters, IT IS WELL!
Though the vision may tarry, wait for it,
For what is done in my name shall surely come to pass!!!
What the Father said He would do, He will do!
Be encouraged friends,
IT IS WELL!!!

In Faith in me will continue to try

13 July 2008
I went out of town and visited my friends. I got to see all of them together. It was very nice. As the night slowed down we began speaking on a spiritual level.

First we spoke about spirits and people who practice obeah. It lead us to talk about having your spirit in the right place. I mentioned a conversation with my pastor about spirits and palm readers. Where basically he said that we are all spiritual people. Our flesh is limited but the spirit can reach further. We all have the ability to use the spirit to see. However what people must bare in mind is that....whenever someone tells you something...you must ask yourself, who is the source of that information. If it is not of God than it is not for you.

We also explored levels of faith. I said to my friends I feel my faith is here but I want to be up there. One friend said, thats fine but I must think that I will get there I just have to continue to work towards achieving that goal. It doesnt neccessarily happen over night.

The will of God

5 July 2008
Here is another email I have been sent. Most of the emails end with you must pass on bla bla bla.

The Will of God
Concentrate on this sentence
"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did"
When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence.....
'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.' Something good will happen to you today.
Something that you have been waiting to hear

God is at the window.....

28 May 2007
I recieved this email. I figured the message is very nice

God is at the window.....

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved! In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes" But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen."
Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes. Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said, "Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help" She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to h elp. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you." Thought for the day and every day thereafter? Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved. Go ahead and make the difference in someone's life today. Share this with a friend and always remember: God is at the window! When Jesus died on the cross; he was thinking of you! If you are one of the 93 % who will stand up for him forward this with the title, "I'm in the 93%" Would you believe 7% of people won't forward this?
